What we do and do not cover

  • 12 regions and nations, each with published house price figures.
  • 49 cities have a page. They are the cities for which the source publishes a figure at local authority level. The release carried 405 areas in total, but most are districts and counties rather than cities, and we do not generate a page for a place we have no data for.
  • 12 of 12 regions have a published average monthly rent in pounds, from the ONS Price Index of Private Rents, and 45 of 49 cities have one for their own council area. For the other 4 (Belfast, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow), ONS publishes rent only for rental market areas, so those pages show the one ONS gives for the city, labelled as that area.
